We are hiring an Engineering Manager for a fast-growing Fintech start-up headquartered in Berlin. Their mission is to revolutionize tax management with a cutting-edge web application.
The Mission
They pride themselves on a commitment to Clean Architecture and delivering robust, scalable software. Their tech stack includes ReactJS for the front-end and NodeJS for the back-end. They are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead and inspire a talented team of 20 engineers while driving technical excellence and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of 20 engineers, fostering professional growth and maintaining high morale in a collaborative environment.
- Technical Oversight: Ensure adherence to best practices (Clean Architecture, code reviews). Collaborate with technical leads to scale engineering processes.
- Project Management: Work closely with product managers to align engineering efforts with business goals. Oversee timelines, scope, and deliverables.
- Strategic Contribution: Participate in long-term planning for the engineering team’s growth and technological direction.
Requirements
- Experience: 5+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership/management role.
- Technical Background: Proven expertise in ReactJS, NodeJS, and modern web development (coding is not required, but a strong background is essential).
- Skills: Strong knowledge of Clean Architecture and software principles. Ability to bridge technical and non-technical teams.
- Mindset: A passion for mentoring engineers and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Language: Fluent English (C1/Native). German is a plus but not required.
The Offer
- Salary: €115,000 - €145,000 Gross/Year (based on experience) + VSOP (Equity).
